Airport rosters,
without the chaos.

Volanteq is the real-time shift scheduling app for small airports — built for ATC, Operations, and Fire Service teams who are tired of whiteboards, spreadsheets, and 3am phone calls about who's on Tower tomorrow.

The status quo

Built for whiteboards.
Used in 2026.

Most small airports still schedule shifts the same way they did in 1995. The cost shows up everywhere — just rarely on the same line of the budget.

The duty manager's spreadsheet

One person owns "the rota" — and a hundred WhatsApps a week. Holiday cover lives in a separate file. Sickness cover lives in their head.

Staff don't know their shifts

By the time a print-out makes it onto the noticeboard, it's already out of date. Half the team are working from a photo on their phone from last week.

Mistakes cost real money

One missed Fire Service shift = aerodrome closed. One uncovered ATC slot = a ground stop. The downside of getting it wrong dwarfs the cost of getting it right.

What you get

Everything your team needs.
Nothing they don't.

Volanteq is purpose-built for airport operations. No bolt-on modules, no enterprise plans, no consultants required.

Department-aware rosters

ATC, Ops, and Fire each get their own grid. Configure positions, opening hours, and section structure to match how your airport actually runs.

Push notifications that work

Staff get a push alert the moment their shift changes. Configurable lead-time reminders before each shift. Quiet hours, acknowledgement, daily summaries — they choose.

Real-time everywhere

One person edits the roster on a desktop, every phone in the airport updates instantly. No save buttons. No "did you get the email?".

Self-service onboarding

Type a colleague's email, hit Send. They get a branded invite, sign up, and they're in — linked to their staff profile automatically. No IT ticket required.

Works on any device

Install to home screen on iPhone or Android. Use it on a desktop. Same data, same speed, same interface. Genuine offline awareness.

Your data stays yours

Each airport's roster is fully isolated. Members of one airport can't see another's data. Hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure with daily backups.

From zero to operational

Three steps. One afternoon.

Genuinely. We mean it.

01

Set up your airport

Tell us your departments, sections, and operating hours. The grid configures itself around your actual operation. Add your staff with a name, initials, and email each.

02

Invite your team

Send invite emails from inside the app. Your staff sign up, install the app to their phone, and choose their notification preferences in 30 seconds.

03

Schedule. Notify. Done.

Drag, tap, and assign. Every change is instant for everyone. Your team gets pinged when their shift changes, reminded before it starts, and out of your hair.

Limited early access

Be one of the first airports on Volanteq.

We're working closely with our launch partners to get the product right. Tell us about your airport and we'll be in touch within a working day.

Frequently asked

Things people ask us.

Who is Volanteq for?
Small to mid-sized airports — typically those with their own ATC tower, ops, and rescue/fire-fighting service. If your duty manager has a "rota.xlsx" file open right now, we built this for you.
How long does it take to set up?
An afternoon for the admin to configure the airport, departments, and staff. Each team member then takes about a minute to sign up, install the app, and choose their notification preferences.
Does it work on iPhone? Android?
Both. Volanteq is a Progressive Web App — it installs to your home screen with a single share-sheet step, runs full-screen, and supports push notifications on both platforms (yes, including iPhone, when installed properly).
Can our staff respond to shift changes?
Each notification can require an acknowledgement — a "Got it" tap that confirms they've seen it. Useful for shift changes, less useful for daily summaries. Each staff member configures it per notification type.
Is our data safe?
Hosted on Google Cloud (Firebase). Each airport's data is fully isolated by security rules — members of one airport cannot read or write data belonging to another. We never sell or analyse your data.
How much does it cost?
Talk to us. Pricing depends on team size and we're being deliberately flexible while we work with our first customers.
What if we already have a system?
Most "systems" we've seen are spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, or paper. If you're using a real workforce-management tool that's working for you — we'd love to hear what you like about it. If you're tolerating something that isn't, we should chat.
